The contracts were tendered and awarded by Sir Robert McAlpine Plc on a design and build basis.
The facilities were to be each company's flagship showroom and workshop repair bays, and are situated on a high profile M4 inter-junction.
The main challenge was to incorporate the high profit brand recognition of their own corporate lighting designs into the showroom to display the products effectively.
This was successfully achieved using a combination of direct and indirect high bay luminaries, continuous linear fluorescent lighting and a combination of specialist projector and spot lighting using various lamp types.
The end results were impressive producing an 'eye-catching' ambiance that highlighted the vehicles but was also modern and subtle. This effect was create by lighting subjects obtrusively via a somewhat obscure source.
