Rockwool - Phase 2

• Client: Rockwool
• CMBE Divisions involved: CMB Electrical and CMBE IFS
• This contract involved the installation of safety critcal systems at Rockwool, Bridegend. The new systems were required as there was a major industrial extension of its production facilities at this location.
• The work involved the installation of a specialist Fire Alarm System in large production warehouses. The system was required to monitor the integrated production furnace that linked conveyor systems in different buildings, on which the product was converted from raw materials in to the finished product.
• The solution uses high temperature detection and early warning smoke detection systems that operate via smoke particle detection beams. This is linked to a CCTV system for remote visual monitoring of various fire risk areas.
• The height and intricacy of the building made the installation a complicated and challenging job for our engineering work force.
• This project was completed on time and to the customer's total satisfaction.
